Psalm 119:49  “Remember your promise to me; it is my only hope.  Your promise revives me; it comforts me in all my troubles.”   Here’s encouragement for us no matter what our circumstance.  Notice the Psalmist knew there was hope in God’s Word and actually that is our only place of real or true hope.

This brings to mind the beginning of Psalm 91 which declares (taking this personally to heart) my dwelling place or where I live is in the secret place of the Most High.  Many of us leave our physical dwellings or homes, daily to go to work or do other things.  But we always return to our homes.  Spiritually speaking, everyday we should return to that cozy place of fellowship with the Lord each time we are distracted.

God’s promises or His Word revives me and comforts me in all my troubles.  It would be great to be immune to trouble, but in the Earth, Jesus told us there would always be trouble or tribulation.  But even in those times, God is our help, our comfort, our strength, and our mighty deliverer.

Psalm 27:5  “For he will conceal me there when troubles come; he will hide me in his sanctuary.  He will place me out of reach on a high rock.”  Rehearse this throughout the week, and be encouraged!
