About Liberty Church
Liberty Church, formerly New Covenant Fellowship, is a family oriented group of people from every walk of life. Every service is centered around the Word of God when the leadership presents the gospel as a lifestyle of freedom just like the name, Liberty Church, suggests.
Pastor Jim follows the vision God placed in his heart years ago, and that is, to set people free by teaching the liberating precepts of the Bible.
You'll enjoy the praise and worship service of contemporary and traditional Christian music. Casual dress is always appropriate, and each service will provide you and your family spiritual insight applicable to everyday life.
The church originally met in a store-front building in downtown El Dorado, known as Believers' Outreach Center. It was the mid 1970's at that time.
Later, under the leadership of Pastors Bob and Frieda White, the church met in the old Vantrese Methodist building on South Washington. Around 1980, the Whites moved to Cleveland,TX, and Jerry and Doris Hart pastored the church until about 1983.
After the Harts moved to Russelville, AR, Cal and Nita Langford began their pastorate. The church was renamed New Covenant Fellowship while they were pastoring. The Langfords weren't here long and the board asked Jim Bolding to be an interim pastor when they moved. Never dreaming this move was anything but temporary, Pastor Jim began a journey of a lifetime.
