“Amazing Grace” is a well known hymn that I sang as a young Baptist boy, but it’s also the very heart of Christmas! Joseph Prince speaks about  “radical grace.”  And truly what happened to put us in right standing with God was nothing short of radical.   Grasping this concept of redemption based strictly on grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8) is a lifelong process.  Our natural thinking always guides us with a works’ consciousness that our rewards should always be the result of our own effort.  Thank God for grace:  “God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense.”

And thankfully for us, our right-standing with God doesn’t depend on our works…..  2 Corinthians 1:20, “ For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.”  And one of my favorites….. Galatians 3:13. “ Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”),  that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus.” You could say, “it’s all about Him!”  And it is.

Now I bet you’re thinking, something must be required on my end.  Well it is and it’s found in Hebrews 10 :23. “ Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. “  Remember righteousness speaks and you and I are righteous, so we must speak  and speak in line with God’s word.  Faith will flow and we’ll be blessed by His Grace!  Merry Christmas!!
