Beginning a new year is always an exciting event for me and I hope for you as well.  Let’s take a look at the Book of Beginnings, Genesis 1………“ 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.   2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. “ ( Genesis 1:1-2)   These scriptures describe the creation of the world as we know it.  Imagine the Master of Creation as He began His work of putting into place the majestic art of landscaping all kinds of landforms, water, and lighting.  Then He crowned this masterpiece with mankind and said it was all good.

Before us is an empty canvas labeled  2020, and it is without form and void.  It’s like a new chapter in a book, and as the authors, we create much of the content.  As we awaken each day of this year, we need to realize our own natural understanding of matters isn’t enough to create an art form pleasing to the Father.  Even Jesus, the Son, sent from Heaven to produce the “God-life” in us, said many times, “it’s the Father in me that gets the job done.”  (Loosely paraphrased)  So, join me as I challenge myself to rise up and face each day stabilized by God’s Word, and conscious of the indwelling Holy Spirit.  He’s our comforter, encourager, teacher, and  standby and has come to assist us as we  choose the style of brushes and hues of color to enhance this year for Him.  Happy New Year!
