E.W. Kenyon once said, “Confession builds the road over which faith carries its precious cargo.”  This reference to confession is simply what a person says about situations.   Of course, the great confession of Jesus’ Lordship brought us into the family of God as we entered the gates of the kingdom by faith in His blood.  Jesus advised folks concerning their everyday talk or confession.  He said,  “take no thought saying......”  This quote is from Matthew 6:31 and Jesus was referring to the cares of this life and how we should not fret about them.  His counsel was 2-fold;  don’t worry and don’t talk about it.  Daily we all face the challenge of rolling our cares over on Him and then leaving them there.  (If you’re like me, it’s no problem to give the care to the Lord, but I have trouble with myself still carrying it!)   Our course of life will follow what we say.  Speaking is how our Heavenly Father created our world.  He didn’t acknowledge the obvious that there was nothing but darkness all around.  Rather He stated what He desired, “Light Be!”  And you know the rest of the story.  As believers you and I are imitators of God, so we should resist speaking the obvious and declare light to flood our problems.   Col 2:6* As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:  How did we receive Jesus?  By faith, believing and confessing, so how should we live each day?  You got it!  By faith, believing and confessing the truth found in the Word!
